QC Joe Stone from Doughty Street Chambers has kindly offered for one student to shadow him during a forthcoming murder trial, R v Sian. The case is scheduled for Leicester Crown Court on 15/08/06.
We have organised a mini competition for one lucky student.
How to enter:
1) Write one paragraph on why you want to be a barrister and how you would benefit from shadowing a QC in a murder trial.
2) And an up-to date CV
3) And send your entry to Marium Arshad (Barristers’ Representative of the Law Society Committee) by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
1) Student must have studied criminal law (so only open to students who have just completed their second year or are graduating this year).
2) And students must have an overall mark of 60% or above.
The entries will be anonymised and will be judged by Dr Anna Carline (Senior Law Lecturer at the University of Leicester), Minah Shah (Secretary of the Law Society Committee), Kamran Toor and Sophie Hubbert (Solicitors’ Representatives of the Law Society Committee).
