6 Degrees is my absolute favourite coffee shop in Leicester, they do the best lemon drizzle cake, lovely people, and work for a fantastic cause. Find out how you can get involved:
My name is Katherine Snoad and I am the Deputy Manager of 6 Degrees, a new Coffee Shop on London Road.
We are a social enterprise linked to the charity ‘Open Hands Trust’, this charity helps to meet the basic needs of vulnerable individuals and families in and across Leicester. If you would like to know more details here is our Open Hands website: www.openhandsleicester.org.uk/index.php
Or alternatively you can find our social media Facebook page: www.facebook.com/6degreescoffeehouse/
Because this is a charity, we are heavily reliant on volunteer support to enable us to give all our proceeds to the charity.
We currently have 32 volunteers working for the coffee shop and we were wondering if you would like to advertise us on your opportunities page, external volunteering opportunities page and within some of your societies. Working for the coffee shop doing a shift every week provides a great working team environment, experience working on the till, barista or in the kitchen, and offers students a great opportunity to get involved within their community and impact lives in and around Leicester.
If you are interested in informing students about this amazing opportunity, which we hope you are, we would love to give you more information about it for your website/advertisement. Please let us know!
