Masters of the moot

What?

The Master of the Moots position is a incredibly enriching one. You will find organise, together with your co-master/mistress, all internal competitions. This includes setting the moot problems at times, judging the rounds at all stages and teaching the art of mooting. Further, through organising and competing in external competitions, you will meet many practitioners, judges and professionals; the position provides an immeasurable addition to your CV, demonstrating leadership abilities and mooting skill.

As the Mistress of the Moots, I am responsible for organizing all the internal competitions within the University. There are five main tournaments each year; Speed Moots, Juniors, Seniors, Championships and the newly introduced Human Rights and Constitutional Moot. Other than arranging match-ups, being in-charge of score tallying and choosing the mooting scenarios, the role also involves liaising with the respective Professors, barristers and external judges.
