Being part of the committee is such a rewarding opportunity, it has helped me grow in confidence by working closely with all three sports teams and the other committee members. It’s a role that requires good organisational skills, being the first port of call for any sport issues. This means that you will be the main point of contact for the netball captain who is responsible for three teams, the football captain who is responsible for two teams and for one basketball team. There are roughly seventy five people currently active with the Law Society’s sports teams, so making sure that they have access to good facilities, have the appropriate kit, and also sorting the always fantastic annual Manchester tournament is a key part of this role. I would strongly advise applying for this role if you take a keen interest in the development of the sports teams of the University of Leicester Law Society and are ready to work closely with the sports captains to further the ongoing success of our football, netball and basketball teams.
