The Street Law Project aims to educate Leicester and its surrounding communities of their legal rights and responsibilities. Our vision for this project is to target groups of individuals and educate different audiences about legal issues that directly affect them or will do in the future. We aim to enhance Leicestershire’s legal literacy whilst increasing the substantive skills and experience of the students involved in the project.
Street Law volunteers will deliver presentations to different organisations and schools using information that we have independently researched. The areas we will focus on include Employment law, Criminal law, Land law, Human Rights, Constitutional and Administrative law and other various legal matters. We will also take specific requests and tailor our research and presentations.
