The Mentoring Scheme is designed to assist first year law students to adapt in and face the challenges of Law school.
Second and third year Mentors are assigned as volunteers to a first year student (the Mentee) in order to provide guidance and clarity. Their main responsibilities include building a relationship with the Mentees and facilitating their personal growth.
The experience and knowledge of the Mentors could sometimes be influential in terms of inspiration and motivation.
Also, events such as a dinner and bar crawls are organised in order to establish closer ties and promote cultural awareness. The skills and qualities that would be developed on the part of the Mentors and the benefits from this opportunity to the Mentees make the scheme an excellent extra-curricular activity.
