Be Budapest Ready…
I hope you are excited as we are for the upcoming Budapest trip running from the 16th-19th March 2018. To make sure that you are fully prepared and ready, here are a few tips to help you out:
Prepare for TRAVEL….Ensure that you have a valid passport and visa for travelling to Budapest in March. To cover any eventualities, I would also advise for you all to get travel insurance (if you haven’t already got it), this will give you peace of mind if for example your luggage gets lost or any medical problems arise. The following site could be helpful when looking for insurance: https://www.comparethemarket.com/travel-insurance/
Prepare for WEATHER… When deciding what to pack, bear in mind the weather. Roughly in March, the weather is around 10-15 degrees Celsius in the day and can get quite cold at night ranging from 1-5 degrees Celsius. So jackets and jumpers will be needed! However, you have the option to go to thermal baths in Budapest, so if you plan on doing so, do bring swimwear and towels etc!
Prepare for ACCOMODATION…Your accommodation for these 3 nights will be the modern Wombats hostel! Breakfast and Wi-fi will be included, for more information, click here: https://www.wombats-hostels.com/budapest/. Don’t be stuck when needing to charge your phone, make sure you have a European power outlet adaptor to take with you (this is the two pin one)!
Prepare for the MONEY…. In Budapest the main currency is Hungarian Forint (HUF) which is used throughout, however some places also offer Euros. The safer option is to take HUF which you know will be accepted everywhere. Make sure you have enough money for excursions, travelling around Budapest, lunch and dinner, souvenirs and any extras for what you believe you may want to do there or pay for. SPARTY thermal baths offer a once in a lifetime experience of a club in water, just for an extra £40 per person. Further details are on here: https://www.wombats-hostels.com/budapest/. More details on excursions and prices will be provided at a later date!
