Our Negotiation Competitions:

The NEGOTIATION COMPETITION is open to all students who are members of the Law Society. Not dissimilar to mediation, negotiation as a form of Alternative Dispute Resolution is becoming, and in fact has become, a prevalent tool of resolving disputes outside of the judiciary system.

At Leicester University Law Society, we offer a dynamic range of negotiation competitions tailored to different stages of legal education. Our Junior Negotiation Competition is exclusively for first-year students, providing them with an early opportunity to develop their negotiation skills in a competitive yet supportive environment. For second and third-year students, we host the Senior Negotiation Competition, which allows participants to engage in more advanced scenarios and refine their strategic thinking.

In addition to these core competitions, we also organise specialised events such as the Medical Law Negotiation Competitions 2024/25, proudly sponsored by Nelsons. This competition challenges participants to navigate complex issues within the niche field of sports law, providing a unique platform for aspiring legal professionals to showcase their expertise and creativity.

These competitions are central to our commitment to fostering practical legal skills, critical thinking, and professional development among our members.
